Nicole Miller Evening Gowns

February 6, 2014

Nicole Miller made a name for herself when she launched her first collection of Men’s Printed Ties in 1982. Following her launch her opened her first boutique store full of women’s fashion on Madison Ave in New York City in 1986. That same year she sent her first collection down the runway during New York City’s Fashion Week. By the 1990’s, Nicole Miller had graced the cover of Forbes Magazine, developed her first fragrance, and began attracting top models for her catwalks including Kate Moss, Gisele Bundchen, Amber Valletta, Alex Wek, Maggie Rizer, Karen Elson, Karen Mulder, Tyra Banks, Carmen Kass, Naomi Campbell, Linda Evangelista and Christy Turlington. Over the years Nicole Miller has made her way to the top of the fashion totem pole, and in 2012, she received the FGI-Lifetime Achievement Award.  Nicole Miller describes her designs as “elegant with a hint of rebellion”. She studied design at the Rhode Island School of Design and the Chambre Syndicale de la Couture in Paris. She felt though the Rhode Island School of Design gave her a sense of freedom with her designs, while the Chambre Syndicale de la Couture in Paris gave her a mastery of classic French techniques of Haute Couture. Nicole Miller creates such clean and elegant lines, which makes her among the top designers with celebrities such as Angelina Jolie, Halle Barry, Beyonce, Joss Stone, Jordin Sparks and Felicity Huffman to name a few. Below are a few pieces from her collection, they are truly breathtaking.
