Flower Girls

July 16, 2013

In Victorian times, the flower girl was an adult woman. Her duty was to entertain the guests before the bride walked down the aisle. While in this century they still do much of the entertaining, the responsibility has changed. The flower girl is no longer an adult, but a young girl between the ages of 3 and 8. Her duty is to toss her flower petals down the isle signaling that the bride is coming. The flower girl walks right after the maid of honor, but before the bride in the processional usually accompanied by a ring bearer. Her attire is supposed to match that of the bridal party (age appropriate of course), only she is also allowed to wear white just like the bride. She may look casual or formal depending on the style of the wedding. Below are some great flower girl looks for your mini beauties.

Where can I find the second flower girl dress to purchase? I found the picture on Pinterest, but cannot find where to buy? I love it. My daughter is a Flower girl in July and this would be a perfect dress.
