There are so many different types of decorations you can choose from for your wedding day theme, an extraordinary new trend this year are jeweled ribbons attached to the ceilings and center pieces or trees and clothing lines outside. The look can bring your wedding into another fantasy land, but it can get pricey with a designer or flower decorator. Making them yourself can be tons of fun and you’d have plenty of color options. It took me about 1minute to make one so it also super easy, here’s what I came up with.
You can place these around your dance floor, or above your dance floor, on your center pieces, decorate your chairs, or hang them around tree if your reception is outside. Or any imaginative place you decide to put them.
- 32 x 20mm Drop Jewels – Style# 80823 (Color Lt Rose) Call 1.800.9.MJTRIM
- 1.5″ Grosgrain Ribbon Style: 00307 I used grosgrain but I think Midori Dupioni Silk or doubled faced satin ribbon works betters because the ribbon wont fray as much.
- Hot Glue Gun
Step 1- Measure and cut each ribbon to 18”
Step 2- Take one end of a ribbon and cut both corners of that end evenly, it should look like an arrow pointing ahead of you.
Step 3- Hot glue two jewels to the tip of the cut ribbon.
Step 4- Hang ribbons from ceilings, trees, chairs, table settings, center pieces etc…
