This time of year is exciting for the bridal industry.  Designers work vigorously all year long to create beautiful new items to show for their Spring 2010 collections.  Retailers work hard to find the perfect pieces to display in their stores, which ultimately will be worn by brides on their special day.   Many new and interesting bridal designs were shown at market this year and I wanted to share some of my favorites!

The two gown designers that stood out to me this season were Gilles Montezin and Jorge Manuel.  Gilles Montezin designs were shown at a cocktail party in a chic loft in Manhattan.  Stunning models strolled around in the beautifully constructed gowns that had unexpected unique details that flatter a women’s body.  The collection consisted of form fitting gowns with interesting bustles, ball gowns made with layers upon layers of beautifully textured fabrics, and soft romantic styles.  Each gown has an optional Le Cinch; body shaper, which takes inches of a bride’s waist.  The designers’ background is in creating gowns for the Paris opera.

Jorge Manuel is a Miami based designer who understands what a bride wants.  His gowns have interesting details, such as trains that curve off to one side.  The innovative train design ensures that you will get amazing photos of you entire gown throughout your wedding day.  The Spring 2010 collection named “Demetrius” is sophisticated with clean and crisp lines and beautiful pleating.  The gowns are designed to showcase the brides’ best features without showing too much.

As for accessories; there were plenty of eye-catching pieces for the upcoming season to choose from.  Chunky crystal pieces for the hair or as  jewelry were stunning.  Having one statement piece for your wedding day ensemble is key for Spring.  Crystal cuffs and bold headbands were my favorites.  Organic, whimsical pieces were equally amazing.  Every girl knows that accessorizing is the best way to show your personal style!  Here at M&J Trimming Bridal, we have a beautiful selection of headpieces, jewlery, and custom veiling, which can be veiwed at our showroom.
