Veil Styles For The Fashionista Bride
By Bethany
Veils are the bridal accessory that really make you look and feel like a bride. There are plenty of options and styles for any type of bride. Classic veil styles like the mantilla; are still very much in fashion, but some new looks have been spotted on the runways.
Euro veils are a statement piece this season. This type of veil has a blusher that extends to the floor, which creates the look of being draped with a large piece of tulle. This light and airy style is very romantic. Some designers incorporated color in their veils. Many brides would not be interested in a black lace veil, but there is something “Rocker” about it. Ruffle trims and silk flower petal veiling is a fun way to dress up a plain gown.
Do not be afraid to do something different, especially since you probably will not wear the veil the entire night. Another option is to wear a more traditional veil for your ceremony and change into a trendier veil for the reception. Cage veils have a retro feel and look great on almost anyone. When I looked back at my grandmothers old wedding photos she had her bridesmaids wear cage veils to compliment their chic bubble hem tea length dresses. There are some veil styles that seem like just a trend, but really they are looks that have been done before, but now they are popular again. If you are not interested in wearing a fashion forward gown, then going for a unique veil is the perfect way to showcase your personal style. Have fun with your wedding day accessories and you will not regret having a variety of amazing photos for years to come!
